2008 ID&R Forum

The National Identification & Recruitment (ID&R) Forum is an annual event sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Migrant Education (OME). As a part of the ID&R Initiative, it upholds several of the initiative’s objectives by maintaining a professional network of ID&R staff, disseminating current practices in the field of ID&R, and improving access to federal policy guidance on migrant child eligibility, identification and recruitment.

This year the Forum was held at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel in Atlanta, GA on October 6-9, 2008. Its goal was "to improve the capacity of migrant education programs to implement efficient and effective ID&R practices by sharing ideas, dreams and resources with staff who have ID&R responsibilities."
